Ingalls Harbor is Positively Expanding with a New Development Coming Soon
I always say water changes everything. It creates another level of excitement and desirability.

Coming soon to Ingalls Harbor: A new waterfront scene for Decatur residents and visitors to live, work, and play!
Patrick Lawler is the developer of the project, and he says this new multi-purpose development will increase the quality of life for people in Decatur.
“It’s just a real game changer,” says Lawler. “This is all going to be pretty cool when [it’s] completed.”
The development will include restaurants with outdoor seating and a waterfront bar concept with live music. There will also be 40 new condo units, each with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a balcony over the water.
Lawler describes the development as being similar to City Harbor in Guntersville, Alabama. It will have a “modern, contemporary feel,” making it the perfect place to spend an evening along the water.
As Decatur continues to attract more visitors and residents, this new development will contribute to the ongoing growth of the city, bringing even more business to local restaurants and merchants.
“It’s a positive across the board,” says Lawler.
Having recently moved back home to Alabama after over 35 years in Texas, Lawler has been pleased with the opportunities he’s found in North Alabama. With Decatur’s unique topography and water views, it was a fitting choice for this development.
So what’s next for the project? Lawler is seeking approvals from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) in 2024 and hopes to open the development in 2025.
Until then, be sure to keep an eye on Ingalls Harbor and beyond. Big things are happening in Decatur, and you won’t want to miss it!
